Don't know but aren't these 135mm spacing and have a part for a disc?

no, standard road wheels as far as i know. all the UK vendors have them for sale, but details are certainly lacking.

6800 wheels aren't listed yet on shimano's site even. Outside shimano guy 'mentioned' that the wheelsets, would be disc compatible and 135mm..hubs not..not sure.

here's a link with a ridiculously high price, but a US vendor. i would have to imagine if they were in fact 135 spaced and disk compatible, there would be some mention of that, but there is not. for the record, they are less than half this price from across the pond, shipped. gotta love these supply chain woes.

There aren't 'supply chain woes'..much bigger issues. Ask Hawley, BTI, Security, some others...

There aren't 'supply chain woes'.....

i dont know what your definition of "woes" is, but when i can buy the exact same set of wheels from the UK for $350ish, or well over double that price from a domestic vendor - that would be my exact definition of "woe".

I guess my point is that it isn't supply chain problems or difficulties that is responsible for the huge disparity in price. shimano has begun to more closely control their distribution in the US and Canada and I think they realize the biggest problems lie in the UK and to a lesser extend, in Europe.

Like it or don't, shimano has gone on record to
-support the IBD
-shut down distributors who 'own'
retail outlets..who essentially sell at wholesale....
-become a distributor in their own right, first in the US, no doubt in the UK next, I have been told that my primary source for 105 and above 'stuff' will be shimano
-re-emplasize OEM, with appropriate controls to prevent unrestricted OEM resale(aimed squarely at sram).

i hear what you're saying, it's a tough situation, but maybe being rectified slowly.

anyway, i still need how wide these things are. maybe i'll just have to call excel or someone in the states and ask.

23mm aluminum rim
For clincher or tubeless tyres
Shimano steel freehub body for 9/10/11-speed
Cup and cone bearings for low maintenance and best performance
Digital click system for quick and easy adjustment by hand
Front rim is asymmetrically shaped for best spoke tension
Rear rim is asymmetrically shape for correct spoke angle
Rim bed without inner holes for use without rim tape or for tubeless tyres but still compatible with standard clinchers
Wear indicators on brake surface
Weight: 1640g a set (without QR levers, without valve)

thanks scoot, but i'm positive that 23mm refers to the rim height, not width.

I'd be very surprised if the width is not 20.9mm on the alloy clinchers, like all their other low pro/mid pro wheels.

You are correct. Dimensions are height / width rim: 23 mm/20, 8 mm
