My gut says there's a 1 or 2 missing off the front of the price

I believe Serotta made a steel cross frame as part of the "Heritage Series" but I can't remember what it is called.

Swiss Cross?

If it fits, jump on the price as that's a good deal.

appreciate your takes on this.. i just want to know the history of the frame and hope to have some feedback if any of us own 1 of these. i'm sure this is not 2012 model since Serotta stopped making steel frame/bike in 2012.
i'd test ride that too since he guessed it's was a 52cm but fit like 54.

Last catalog info I could find was the 2007 HSG steel (HSG could also be had in Ti). There's no geometry in the catalog. I'd guess the bike in the ad is similar, regardless of year or model name. I would move on it if it fits and is in good shape.

I think you are correct sir.. there was thread i found on here. it was a road type but the paint and fork looks the same.

That's a great looking bike. If that price is correct and it fits you, go get it now!

By the way, you might be able to pin down the year with the serial number. The old system with model code followed by size was changed sometime around 2010. So if it has the old system it will have 2 letters then 54 if it's a 54, and will be 2009 (best guess) or older. I don't know the code for an HSG CX. If it's 2010 or later it will begin with the 2 (some cases 3) letter code, then X0 if 2010, X1 if 2011. Presumably that system continues in use. I haven't heard of another.

I purchased a Heritage GP Suisse cross bike in the fall of '08 direct from the factory with a 20% Serotta forum discount. The serial number on mine is GX 58 006. I paid $1350 for the frame and Stella Bellagio cross fork. That was truly a great deal for such a high quality steel bike.
