Pardon the newbie question but I'm new to 142x12mm TA and am having a new 29er HT frame built soon with this dropout. The frame would be both SS and geared capable. My current SS rear Hadley hub can be converted to 142x12 and this is how the bike will be set up first.
I am being told that I need to decide which skewer type I am going to use. DT Swiss, Shimano or Sram. I am guessing that they are not all compatible? What are the differences if any?
I am thinking Paragon sliders for this dual purpose dropout setup. TIA!

They will all work. Basically the axle needs to match the dropouts, and Paragon makes sliders in all three versions. Any of the axles will fit your hub. I would go with Shimano just because it's Shimano. YMMV.

With thru axles, the axles need to stay with the frame/fork rather than the wheels.
