I'm thinking of converting my urban 29er dropbar bike from Sram to an Alfine 11Di2 with the new Shimano di2 road shifters as this bike gets a lot of winter (wet) use, and heck, for something different.
Any experiences, good or bad? Thanks!

I'm curious too...Alfine Di2, especially with a belt drive, looks perfect for commuter applications.

Looks like this guy sponsored by Specialized is using Alfine Di2 set up for the transcontinental race from London to Istanbul.

This directly doesn't say anything related to your question, but I thought it was interesting.
My buddy, who's a shop owner, has built a couple if pugsleys alfine 11 and di2. He's gotten great feedback as far as I know. Ill follow up with him to see if he has gotten any updates.

Thanks all. Debating between this or a campy eleven conversion as I now have a drive train without a bike...
