I am going to swap a dura ace 9 speed from an EM Corsa Extra to a CSI. I am almost positive that the BB on the EM is european and the BB on the CSI is English, I just want to make sure.

I am going to replace the BB with a new octalink. I should buy theS himano Dura Ace BB-7700 Bottom Bracket 68mm Octalink 109.5 English Thread, correct? The cranks are double.

Thank you.

Yes - the CSi has a standard 68mm English threaded BB.

Merckx is Italian, you need English for the Serotta. The 105 level BB will also work, and is half the price.

Answers given but I'd look at the 5500 BB, cheaper and some say more reliable.

Yep, still made by shimano. 6500 and 7700 not.

I prefer BB-7710 for Octalink. This is the Dura Ace level track BB and is basically an english BB-6500 with a steel NDS adaptor. You can find these for almost the same price as the 105-level BB.
