Time heals all wounds. And although Monsieur Hinault would never accede the mere suggestion, he owes his 5th Tour de France win in no small part to Greg's choice, and Monsieur Bernard Tapie's acumen, in becoming Hinault's teammate at La Vie Claire. Were Greg in a rival team, the Badger's victory would have been heavily contested by LeMond - Greg being on the figurative up escalator while Bernard's was winding down. Keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer.
