Not quite yet. The development of the F-35 has been 'interesting', to say the least. The training squadrons for the 3 US models are in place but none of the actual jets have made it to the fleet yet, for the USN and USMC..As for the USAF, who cares, they lost their mission when the USSR went away.

You've got to read the story a little more carefully

Practice and/or disabled bombs, just off the reef in a deep trench, emergency jettison procedures due to aborted training mission, low fuel, and standard safety procedures.

Not necessarily the ideal situation but they didn't really bomb anything. More like littering.:rolleyes:
