!!!SOLD!!!

on offer is an honest-to-goodness ex Team Navigators frame that was ridden by canadian honch Mark Walters in the 2003 season...it was ridden in the 2003 SFGP and 2003 Worlds RR in Hamilton...i've owned it since 2005. this is the FINAL/FINEST design of the C40, i call it the Mark-III. it combines the HP and B stays that were developed along the way, while still maintaining the classic aesthetic of the original C40. also has the superior Ti BB insert for durability/maintainability.

60cm frame (colnago sizing, measured from BB center to lower-edge of seat-pin clamp) with 57.7cm top-tube and 168mm HT. fitted with an Easton full-carbon fork with same specs as the OEM star fork. it is not a museum piece and has the sort of nicks/marks/scratches along with some touch-ups you'd expect from a bike that's been ridden properly. but condition is quite good overall and most importantly it rides like a dream -- plenty stiff and smoove to leave you fresh for that final attack to put the hurt on your buddies at the end of a long day in the saddle!

deal includes: frame/fork, special C40 bottle-cage bolts, DT cable adjusters, seat-pin clamp (headset not included)...and an XL sized Navigators team jersey.

Jeeeeeeeezzzz, people. Someone . . . please and keep me posted. Walters was one of the most bad A$$ domestic racers who also was Canadian and this frame is storied for sure.

It is seriously like having a part of history.

Could a 6'4" rider with a long torso be fitted to this frame? I realize there are a lot of variables but just want to know if it is within reality for me.

57.7" TT...Looks perfect for this 6 footer...??? If I had more room, more money, more...

Probably 58 c-c on the ST...Can't imagine it would fit someone 6-4 very well!

There's a new 1" Colnago Street on ebay right now in case anyone was thinking about finding a matching fork. A bit pricy but would be worth pairing with this sweet deal.

Do you know the STA by any chance?

STA = 73deg from the colnago geo chart

Any damage? Chips? Crashes?

no damage, no crashes, but it is a well ridden ex-pro bike: "... it is not a museum piece and has the sort of nicks/marks/scratches you'd expect from a bike that's been ridden properly. but condition is quite good overall and most importantly it rides like a dream..."

Walter,

Would you be interested in meeting up? I live in Cleveland and we could a half way thing, like Toledo. I am interested. It's the right size, decent color and I know some people who raced for Navigators. I am just curious what it looks like in person though.

I am currently sitting in the hospital waiting for surgery, if it ever happens. So I might be able to do it this coming weekend if I get out of here soon. Stupid hospital. Let me know. I am interested. Oh, and I wouldn't want the fork.

What's the price?

fork rides wonderfully. i have two C40s, one with the OEM Star and one with this Easton full-carbon...i find no difference in the ride or handling: both are smooth and sure-footed.

Seems like a steal!

Can you comment on how that for rode?

Cheers!
