Who else rode it today?
Great day for it. Nice and warm at the start. Cool on the climbs. Mostly gentle ascents until Semnoz at the end. Wow was that last climb brutal. Nothing below 8% and seemed like most of it was 10 and 11% for the 11km climb. Also, it stayed steep right until the end. For the actual Tour, it's tailor-made for a pure climber to take the stage.
Annecy is a ridiculously scenic and charming town. The older part is chock full or great restaurants and bars all in the midst of medieval architecture. The views of the snow-capped Alps across the lake are spectacular.
