Does anyone have any recommendations for road rides in the Aspen area? Gravel/dirt roads are ok, too. Thanks!

Independence Pass and Maroon Bells are the obvious ones.

1. Aspen to summit of Independence Pass
2. Aspen to Glenwood Springs (30 mile cruiser)

I'll be there on Friday and I am bringing my bike.

As a person who lives at sea level and skiied Aspen for many years I recommend you give yourself plenty of time to get used to the altitude while doing easy rides before you tackle a severe climb like Independence Pass. I did have a dandy snowball fight near the top on the 4th of July.
