This may be a dumb question but has anybody here had issues with fitting a 27.2 Eriksen sweet post on an Ottrott? I tried over the weekend and it just won't fit. Note that I tried the post on several other frames requiring a 27.2 and it fit fine. I also tried several other 27.2 AL posts on the Ottrott and they fit fine. Pretty frustrated.

Got calipers?

I had a sweetpost in my old Ottrott, and have a Moots cinchpost in my current one. I also have a sweetpost on a Legend singlespeed. Not everything that is marked 27.2 is 27.2. Both Serotta and Eriksen are very careful about their tolerances, so it's not clear whether it's one or the other. Do you have a set of calipers to measure the seatpost and the ID of the seat tube?

If you don't have calipers you can try measuring the OD of the various seatposts using either quad pad paper or by drawing a line on a piece of blank paper then wrapping that around the Sweetpost. Mark on the paper where the line wraps around itself, then compare that to the other posts by doing the same thing with the same bit of paper. It should tell you with some degree of accuracy how the OD of the different posts compare.

I bet the Sweetpost is a tad larger than the others, but not enough for it to not fit in the other frames.

I think Eriksen only makes a27.2 and 30.7 of which has no bend.

My 2011 OTT SE hacked up two CF(FSA K Force) seat posts due two very little clearance and sharp corners on the cutout(not sure what its called). Following sanding of corners by a mechanic and switching to a Thompson post, all is well.

I have a sweetpost on my 2011 Ottrott.

It fit with no issues.

Good Luck
