Big Hors for sale (http://cgi.ebay.com/Serotta-Hors-Categorie-C5TI-Titanium-Road-Bike_W0QQitemZ7205189660QQcategoryZ98084QQrdZ1QQcm dZViewItem)

FYI...

Hey TT (or anyone else from Team Titan), are you looking for an Hors? It appears to be around a 66 or 67 cm. This is interesting but I'm looking for a cross rig. I have no affiliation to this sale, just found it cruising e-Bay. Judging from the description, the person selling isn't the owner. No reserve. Legit?

If the guy is measuring the frame correctly, 26 1/2" translates to about a 67CM. A better thing would be to ask for the serial number, that would tell everything. It's obviously a custom, so an enquiry with the serial number to Serotta would be best.

Do you think you could buy it then file a complaint with ebay or Paypal for the actual weight being 200% of claimed weight? :D

I also Like the "Mavica" Wheels and the Serotta "Neck" and the chainring descriptions.

I do love the novice descriptions and the weight--Excellent!

64 is too small for Uncle William !!!!

It will work .... but the Big Guy needs a 65-66 minimum.

anybody in Denver want to go measure it up? I called Serotta and apparently the records were toasted off the computer and they don't have the geometry.

Hard to tell for sure but judging by the HT in the picture it seems a little larger then a 64.

You need this sled big guy, it has some yellow parts, it screams WILLIAM.

I know dude, but with procuring The Farm and the upcoming move, if I go for it Mrs William will....
A.) Kick my arse.
B.) Not talk to me for at least six months.
C.) Not have....ah...relations with me for about that long.
D.) Slash the tires on my other rigs when I'm not around.
E.) Give the Serotta Skunkbird to the first person walking by the house.
F.) And last but not least, try to turn Rhea Basset against me. I can't have that, I love that dog.

Besides, I'm already catching enough heat for scraping a budget cross rig together.

Timeing is everything eh?

I'm not disputing that. Just saying, to me, from the picture, and comparing the image to the Skunkbird proportions, it seems a little bigger....but I've been known to be wrong on occasion.

no taking pictures of bikes while standing. The resulting distortion of the photo makes it virtually impossible to guesstimate/confirm frame size. It's like nobody knows how to bend their knees for cripesake!

Tell me about it.

Every time my mother in-law tries taking a picture, she stands there, rolls out her ankles and touches her knees together so her feet are pointing at each other. She then bends forward at the hips and tilts her self sideways and looks like she's either about to have a siezure or trying to squeeze out some gas. No one understands why but it makes us all laugh or Arses off. Funny, the pictures usually turn out pretty good. Maybe she knows exactly what she's doing???

Oh well. I'd get in trouble if I tried to buy it anyway. Incidently, I though it looked bigger than a 64 too. Here's a pic of my old 64 (C/T) for comparison (of course, it's got big ugly oversize Aluminum tubing that probably skews things) Pardon the doofus holding it up.

"10lbs without tires and tubes. Come on, you know that adds at least 10 more pounds. "

each tire has over 100 pounds of air in it,so total weight must be over 200 pounds.

Seriously,a friend of mine bought 4 car tires/wheels from an online retailer. The shipping department called him and told him they did not inflate the tires, since it would increase freight costs so much. :crap:

On a more serious/useless note,a 23mm road tire,inflated with a pump,has 11 grams of air in it.A CO2 cartridge has 16 grams...

Okay, I should drop this, but I'm still not past this yet...
Wouldn't a 25cm HT be a little large for a 64 (C/T)? My new bike has a 27 cm HT and my ST is 67.5--but that's with two degree sloping TT. I suck at math and no little to nothing about frame design, but it seems to me the ratios here just don't wok out. But what do I know.

And I think it will go for quite a bit--we big folks hardly ever get a chance at used goods. The few who this will fit are prone to go wild (IMHO). Present company excluded.

It's 64 c-c, that's the known part(from Serotta Andrew) the other measurements were done by the seller and may or may not be the most accurate.

you're right! when us big guys finally get a chance to bid on something that really fits we tend to go WILD! so help me out here. what would be a good price for this ride?

funny i was just about to bid on the 62cm colorado but had reservations because it really is too small and i already have a vintage bob jackson lugged frame ride. also not crazy about a black and purple ride.

give me a price range for the hors? thanks.
