Is it Ti or aluminum? I like its aesthetics.

Thx.

Kent Eriksen Sweetpost (http://kenteriksen.com/seatposts/)

It is Ti.

A word of caution. I have one on my new Kirk. It is a sort of matte finish. But the seatpost strap from my seatbag has rubbed it enough that there is a section that has a shine to it.

I put tape around the seatpost in the offended area until I get a new seat bag.

Radio has been a Bowdoin tradition dating back to the early 1940s when students and faculty sporadically hosted and recorded programs on campus, which were later broadcast through Portland's WCSH, Lewiston's WCOU, Augusta's WRDO, and Bangor's WLBZ. These programs usually consisted of a combination of play readings, faculty interviews, and live vocal music, usually from the Bowdoin College Glee Club and the Meddiebempsters

Ti. Kent Eriksen Sweetpost. You can order from him and they are on eBay as well. The come with different color seat clamps. A beautiful piece.

I just called Eriksen yesterday to order one of these posts. They are out of the shop till July 1st. I guess I will order it next week.

Sweet- they must have sent me my new frameset right before they closed for the month.
It is an Eriksen Sweetpost with setback.
Don't use seat bags with strap for the post on cool posts like this- get a seatbag from Cedar Cycling (forum member). They stay put, hold 2 tubes, and keep you Sweetpost looking good!

I've heard somewhere that Ti and steel don't play well with each other in the seat post/seat tube area (excessive rubbing, squeaking or something like that).

Is this true? Are there preventative measures?

Sweetpost is ti- it will be fine in any bike.
If putting in Ti, steel or aluminum use anti-seize and check every few months.
If putting in carbon frame use carbon paste.
Should not make noise, if it does it is not a problem with the post.

I have never had a problem with my campy Ti post in a lugged steel frame.

That's an Eriksen Sweetpost!
Just felt the need to say that one more time.

I talked to Eriksen today and already have a tracking number for a sweetpost. Answering the phone and shipping within an hour is great customer service.

One thing to note: these posts only fit standard 7mm seat rails.
If you have carbon rails or non standard shaped rails you can't use
this beautiful post.
I was told that new hardware was being considered for saddles like
fizik with carbon rails but I'm not sure if that's been done.
An elegant design, though. IMO any post with more than one screw
for adjustment is a crime against nature and should be banned by the
world court in The Hague

Normally I am not a fan of single bolt posts, but a sweetpost holds tight.
I have hardware for carbon rails?

Why ?

Two screws allows one to set the tilt perfectly .... which is critical
for a Brooks.

Can't beat a Nitto Jaguar post
