Most Ti stems were overrated, but the Cinelli Grammo threadless was pretty good. Lots available on eBay.

This is actually the only serotta item I own, got it on closeout direct from serotta for the same price as a salsa steel stem, figured I got a good deal, guess not so much. Will have to keep my eyes and ears on it now.

Seven's custom Ti stems are among the nicest and stiffest I've ever seen. Definitely NOT cheap though. Jeff N.

Interesting.

As has been discussed many times before, any part made from any material can break.

Do as the lawyers say, keep an eye out for cracks, etc.

I am told this is the threaded stem only and not the threadless one that cam out later. They are still nice stems - just check as you should do with any stem and bars....

I am even more nervous of carbom bars/stem (but I have no factual reason to be - - -this is just me

my Moots Threadless is very stiff even in 130mm size. It is the heavier of the two models they offer and aimed, I think, at cross bikes and heavier riders. The steerer clamp length is about 10mm longer than most which reduces required spacers. I swapped it for another well-respected road stem in aluminum and could feel increased flex so I went back to the Moots. At $325-$375 it has to be good.
