July is my favorite month of the year not just for the early morning coffee and coach cuddling with my pup Henry, but of course for Le Tour! With some luck this year will be just a bit more exciting than last year. (I for one found the highlight last year being the tacks on the road.)

And to increase the nerd factor I encourage you to take part in the FREE velogames.com fantasy league. I took the liberty of creating a PL "mini-league." The code is: 16041025

Half my Giro team didn't make it to the finish line. Plus, my strategy this time is to pick cyclists with sketchy doping pasts because Santambrogio didn't cost too much and got a ton of fantasy points! :)

Bump. It's fun. It changes the way I watch the Tour. Normally I'm just interested in watching the visuals after the fact. With "skin in the game" I'm thinking, "Oh, daggumit, my domestique guy missed the break" or "Cool! He made the break. I hope they let it go." Etc.

Also, after 1 stage, I have 1 point! Avoided the shutout, yes!

Just browsed through teams quickly.....I didn't see anyone who had Gerrans or ANY Orica Greenedge riders. I'm sure there's someone who does, but it looks like the majority of us will be missing some points the next few days.

obviously paying off early. he's owned by all of 3.5% of teams. pretty decent return on investment i would say.
