Colorado AL. Couple of years in the 90s. Do a search here for Colorado and aluminum and you'll turn up some stuff.

I got the chance to ride one a few times down in FL with Bill Bove.

He had a couple of them and really loved them. I almost bought one from him as they were a fun ride.

They are interesting bikes. They were kind of stiff as were most AL bikes back then.

I seem to remember that longevity was a concern for some.

I also believe they were welded FOR Serotta.

Pretty sure they were made by Kinesis for Serotta.

I had a nice blue 60cm one. Stiffest frame I've ever ridden. Had to use 28c tires with it. Had the long Serotta geometry they used for a while: 60TT and 60ST.

Looking back, what was strange is that when I bought it from Wheelworks in Boston, I also test-rode a nice blue Atlanta. And I thought the AL was smoother. I can't figure that out. Wheels, maybe? But in the end, the AL was too stiff for me. Even tried a few different forks, with no effect.

I have the same size frame as tv_vt, in red. I don't have many miles on it, but I like the way it handles. It would be interesting to spend some time riding it alternating with a Cannondale that I've had forever. For that matter, I should do the same with my Atlanta.
