yeah, because people are so competent riding in 2 dimensional situations.
adding a vertical component shouldn't cause any problems.
flying bikes, like flying cars, would make for some awesome carnage.

Just saw the Gossamer Albatross at the Seattle Museum of Flight last week.
That's like a flying bike. Wingspan is a little big for traffic, though ;)

The Flyke is nothing more than a powered paraglider with a recumbent for a seat
The Czech bike with the fans is more intriguing but yeah, I can see real mayhem at just 10 feet above the ground
