Don't even fool yourself that if you are just riding along and gang of thugs hops out from behind some trees and knocks you off your bike that you are going to have the Batman reflexes to jump up from your crash, pull your helmet up over your eyes, assess the situation, pull out your sidearm and teach those baddies a lesson that crime doesn't pay?
Or will you just be jumped on, be savagely beaten, have your gun taken, maybe or maybe not be executed by your own gun and then to add insult to injury still have your bike taken.

Don't get my wrong, I would LOVE to see those attackers locked up and off the street but that is quite a Solider of Fortune Magazine fantasy that riding with a gun wouldn't make that situation much worse.
