I need to have carpal tunnel surgery, after multiple injections and brace. It is being done endoscopic. Wondering how long off the bike. Figuring I could keep pressure off the wound riding open flats. No option now, nerve tests were positive and pt, massage etc didn't work.

Not an exact comparison; but, I received a carpel tunnel release as a value-added aspect of a surgical repair when I wiped my hand onto the side off my arm skiing. Several pins and a cast followed by weeks of physical therapy with a woman I came to know as my dominatrix and I was back on the bike in about 3 months.

Your mileage will vary. On a happy note, now I can sleep on my right side without my hand going numb.

Good luck with the surgery and the recovery.
