Had another car vs bike incident yesterday which would have been good to record to show to the police, or at least the employer of some guy in a utility truck really harassing an elderly couple going too slowly for his liking down a tricky descent.

So, are there any really SMALL cameras I can mount on a helmet? I'm not looking to post HD videos on Vimeo of me wing-suiting off Mount Everest. So no GoPro, Countour etc. or similar which are discussed elsewhere here -- too big and overkill.

Something small, lightweight and unobtrusive, just the bare minimum to record the bad guys.

Craigslist is crawling with older models of what you've mentioned. Very cheap
For your purposes that's probably the best option.

The smallest POV camera I've seen is made by a company called Replay, but they're not cheap.

While they are cheaper, the older models are even bigger and heavier.

I guess what I'm really looking for is something small and I figured the cheap crappy cams they put in ski googles and things like that would work if there was a helmet cam version.

Thanks.

Their xd720 is very small and plenty good enough quality for my purposes. Anyone use one? Only $150 too, which is cheap enough for me.

You might consider one of these $20 cameras: http://www.amazon.com/Mini-MD80-Video-Camera-MicroSD/dp/B003M4UC2C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1370807221&sr=8-1&keywords=mini+helmet+camera

When I was looking into this awhile ago, I got interested in setting up an inexpensive keychain camera as a helmet can. The RC model airplane guys have been doing this for awhile and they have some nice guides to the various versions.

http://www.chucklohr.com/808/index.shtml is a good starting place.
