Among my observations.

They both talked about how training can make you fit, in a way that I don't hear that often anymore. Sort of the belief that you gain general fitness training.

The second guy uses park trails for training. LOL. He should read some theads on here about MUTs.

I dig his fendered bike, and his commitment to riding through the winter.

Blowing on road rash CAN'T be sanitary.

Wow! Great footage from long ago, when cycling was simpler. Assuming the filming was done on 16mm/Beta. Either way, this took a ton of work compared to doing the same thing on a GoPro.. The Chicago bike commuter precedes the randonneur renaissance by a few decades.

Is that Jim Ochowicz in the Turin jersey, second on the podium, in the first segment? Later to lead 7-Eleven, Motorola, Discovery, BMC.

Thanks for that trip down memory lane. I remember too many of those guys especially the ones from the Illinois State Championships, God's Country.
