I'm getting closer to getting a new frame and have to start thinking about colors. For reasons that I can't quite explain, I'm thinking about green, sort of a green-grey, mossy color.

If you have a bike with a similar paint scheme, I'd love to see some pics.

Thanks

Steve

My Rivendell Allrounder is similar to what you describe. I'll try to post a photo. Here it is with a 7lb. rib roast, gallon of milk, 8 ears of corn, a whole pineapple and some other groceries in my Rivendell Hoss Saddlebag.

My De Bernardi is an unusual color that changes with light conditions. In very bright light, it appears blue. In most light, it's sort of blue-green, and in dim light, it's green.

Realizing this is humor, but all bikes are kinda green?- Let's not fool ourselves, I say not so much IMO. Only when they're used where motorized transport would have been. For recreation? Not so much. When you drive to a ride or a race, no way. As for the manufacturing greenness, when you choose carbon or Ti, it's dirty business. I don't know about steel vs Al, but they're both cleaner than the others. Anyway, carry on with the thread, I like green bikes!

Here's the Aegis Aro Svelte I used to have. The green is a dark metalflake on top, a rich almost dutch door green, then fading to a brighter green at the lower end of the frame. The signature curved seat tube is emphasized by the color. The fork was matching, and the bike handled beautifully. The seat post clamp had a clever internal squeeze approach that did not flex the carbon. All shimano, right through to those wheels with the interesting through the rim spokes. I always thought the design and color were pretty special, from a design and color point of view. I wish I had better pictures, the color is clearer on the headtube shot.

When I had my mooney built I said "metallic British racing green". Then I was "forced" to choose from a bunch of one inch swatches in poor light. The only thing I don't love about my bike. The shade of green.

My Mercian, but not for much longer. Handing this over to a friend that needs and will use it much more than I.

A couple of my old green bikes....

A friend at work has this one so I still get to see it:

This was sold off last month as I downsized the collection. My heart hates me for letting this one go.

And this one just kept getting lost in the shuffle and never got a fair shake with me. New owner is loving it.

I bought Dave Wages wife’s bike last year, rides great! It was one of his show bikes at NAHBS:

Good Luck!

I was wondering who bought that bike. Kind of kicking myself for not pulling the trigger on it. She’s a beauty!

That is the only bike on which I've liked … well, not hated the look of a setback Thomson post.

And the same bike in a later condition after climbing up Windy Ridge (Mt St Helens).

I saw that green/yallar one a while back, love the paint effect combo. So much so a pic of it is in my paint folder in case my 90s 753 Reynolds custom actually ever gets a repaint...

I also had this green thang, but did not like it rolling much so was short lived in the stables.
