There are a lot of visually interesting / tongue-in-cheek / limited run bottles being made these days. I don't always hear about them though, and I'm in the market for some new bidons.

Got any favorites from around the web (that are still available for purchase)? I was checking out the Dr. Bronner's (http://prollyisnotprobably.com/2013/05/bronner-bottle-love/), but it looks like they might've been C&D'd.

those cadence bottles are neat but they should not cost $15 a bottle.

you can get similar bottles for less than half that price (blanks but also richard sachs bottles (made by specialized) for 4 bucks http://www.richardsachs.com/site/sachs-toys/)

I much prefer the valve on the Purist to the ones on the RS bottles.

I know there's gotta be more bottles out there. Post 'em up!

I know it's not what you're looking for, but I love the classic look of handlebar mounted stainless steel bottles. Would make me think I was climbing the Tourmalet on gravel, everytime I got on the bike.

G&D are all sold out, though I'll keep my eye on their site. That Sriracha one is pretty good.

I just went through the custom process with Specialized for the Purist water bottle (same as the Cadence model). It is a very nice bottle that does not get a funky and develop mold inside and the "mo-flow" lid is preferable to the "little big mouth" by everyone I know who has tried both. On the topic of price, those Cadence bottles are %100 mark up at least, probably more. We developed our bottles with much more complex art work and the raw cost after tax and shipping for the minimum order of 50 was $7.50/bottle. We are selling them 2 for $25 once they arrive and I grimace at the thought of charging more than $10 each. But to make a decent profit margin and be able to reinvest the money in a new project, $12.50/bottle seemed best.

I think our team is considering custom bottles from them as well, but I'm sure that'll be a few months down the line. Glad to hear you had a good experience. You should post 'em up when they're in!

ah crap, didn't notice they had sold out the 'ice' one already. unfortunately, they say they won't do reissues so we're unlikely to see the sriracha make a comeback. or the butter bottles.

i was on a team a couple years ago that also did custom Specialized Purist. they've held up really well, though mine are beat to sh*t from gravel races and gritty rain rides.

A++++ would buy again.

Always liked the G+D Sriracha one.

I've looked around for fun, but designing your own bottle graphics on top of a camelbak podium (my favorite) is quite the investment due to the minimums.

Dang. I would've loved to have gotten the Sriracha one. Oh well. Also, I wish more places do the 24oz bottle... my last batch of bottles I got from twinsix.com (http://www.twinsix.com/gear/the-stuff/bottles) Cars R' Coffins come with the moflo top and I'm drinking from it right now.

I really dig the BKB bottles actually. Don't know what the hell it means, but it's the same initials and general 'feel' visually of a climbing gym that's opening near my house which is a strange coincidence.

Why such cheep, crappy beer? ( the PBR and Miller) Are they making a statement about cyclists' tastes?
I want some styled like Stone Brewing's Arrogant Bastard bottle. Hell, I'll just use the bottle...

Cultural icons. You know what they are from 50 feet at 20mph.

"Arrogant Bastard" would be a fitting bottle for more cyclists than I'd like to admit.

I guess I'm not worthy then, like the bottle says, cuz I can't stand this stuff, like just about every small brewer, local brewer, local IPA, etc., I have ever tried.

It's like a life style, to yak about these teeny brewers and how great their wheat, chocolate, spice, blah, yuk, stuff is.

Give me a good Euro Pils, or nice Mexicano for the summer, or any other nice macro brew..something I can actually finish.

Plus one, OP. Although the some of the stuff coming out of Brooklyn, NY is pretty good.

And plus one on not having much cash for "good" beer after funding the addiction.

Currently on hand, MGD (as always ), Sam Adams Cherry Wheat, and Woodchuck Cider. A bit trashy? Yes. Trendy? No.
