What a great route...My wife graduated from Covenant College, and I've ridden that climb quite a few times...Impressive that Fred was able to haul himself up and over and stay with the leaders. :)

What stuck out to me was not only Freddie but Zirbel was there to but Tyler couldn't make it

Tyler underperforming.....unthinkable  ....I'm sure he had a great excuse/someone to blame :help:

That climb is tough.

Freddie would occasionally show up for the county ride in Santa Cruz, CA on Saturday mornings. He'd crush everyone on his spandex covered (fairing) recumbent! Good to see him still riding strong.

It was a fun race to watch. When Phil reached 30 seconds he had a shot, but less than that and the leadup to the sprint will catch every time. Great work by Freddie to grab a clean line for the sprint.

Once you saw Phil fighting his bike on the last bridge back into town, you knew he was done.

You've got to give Matt Busche credit, he single-handedly chased down Gaimon when the chasing riders were twiddling their thumbs. United Healthcare AND Jelly Belly couldn't close the gap working together. Felt bad that he had no other teammates on Radioshack in the race, but those are the breaks I guess.

That was a really good race and a good course. Its tough. Freddy made it --look-- easy, the way he just slipped right in there.
