I am building up one of these and would love to see some pictures of complete bicycles to help guide me in component selection.

Current generation ultegra, white industry hubs, HED belgium rims.

Do you have a pic of the frame? I love white bikes.

I know. :( I hang my head in shame.

I have some rides in mind (if the weather cooperates) that should have some good photo ops. I hope I can point the bike in the right direction. :help:

If you live in America, NDS is the right direction. People who flip their bikes for photos... argh.

Pure white with red pinstriping. A few years back Elliot Bay Cycles had an italian made white frame with a gold pearlescent clearcoat. That really took the white paint up a notch!

Gianni Motta Personal 2001r...my flat-pedal townie road bike. The softness of the SLX is great for horrible Seattle roads. Built with alloy 9 spd Chorus group.

If it's not red, it's high-polish silver ... ranging from NOS 7700 series Dura Ace hubs and RD, to the recently introduced Pacenti rims and R.Herse crankset.

Nice bike. Nice classic cross position. The green muds operated so much better than the mud 2s.

This is the closest thing I have to a white bike -

A Joe Bell paint job on this Ritchey. The photo doesn't do it justice. Might be "plain" white, but it shines.

Ah, fair enough. In that case, it was one of the two most beautiful bikes I've ever owned. That said, the paint on the Argonaut was unbelievable. It had a ridiculously beautiful pearl to it that added a lot of depth.

Is that yours, Tom? And, what are the measurements on that frame? I'm asking for, um, a friend.

My first road bike, purchased at Cycles de Oro in 1996 or so.

This was about its third build-up with various parts and bits. Currently hanging in storage waiting to be rebuilt when the fancy strikes. I'll never sell it.

Sold to an Australian forumite a couple of yrs ago.

Ari, we are developing a 12-step program... for, um, that friend.

But seriously, it's really good to see you feeling better and amped about bikes...

Thanks Terry, this was from when I had awesome fitness right before I messed up my ankle. Now it's the perfect commuter ;) Mike sure does make a nice bike. One day I'll get a road bike from him too. You can have my mud tires btw.

Ari, Tom's a nice guy, but that frame was useless. Headtube too short! (Originally built for jspin, I think.)

Tom, respectfully, don't buy any more bikes with HTs under 150mm. It really impedes Ari's and my daydreams. Thanks.
