Interesting. GPS, accelerometer, front (CREE) and read LEDs.. not the prettiest but definitely an interesting concept. I like that the color of the rear LEDs changes based on your speed.

also.. no weight listed

thoughts?

Interesting. Certainly clean looking and from the pictures it looks like most parts should be individually replaceable should they break. I wouldn't put it on my race bike, but for a commuter/touring bike I think they'd look pretty awesome.

One issue is not being able to rotate the light independently from the handlebars. In most pictures it looks it doesn't point slightly downward, which is insanely annoying for other cyclists riding towards you.

I won't pledge a cent unless that guy gets a haircut. I spent the first 10 seconds of the video thinking "Jeez, couldn't they have gotten a better looking chick as a model? She's kinda homely."

(and he's all about safety but doesn't wear a helmet)

nice... thanks. I thought for a second TV on the Radio actually released something good recently.

the rest of the industry should start marketing their plain ol' aluminum or carbon fiber bars as "stupid."

The speedometer function uses your phone’s GPS to determine your speed and change the color of the rear LEDs to reflect your speed.

Imagine gauging your speed without having to read a display or pull out your phone!

on the other hand pulling out your phone to check your speed on a bike seems like a handy way to speed up natural selection and remove these less desirables from the gene pool.

you mean you don't often whip out your cell phone to read text messages, use google navigator maps, and read paceline forum threads all while riding the bike? clearly you're not an enabled "smart" rider.

Have you heard Menomena? Some songs sound pretty similar to TVOTR.

Cool. Are they compatible with iOS and can I send them a text message to downshift a cog and apply a little more front brake?

No, you need to wait for the HUD helmet, based on US Air Force technology. Then you'll be able to tweet by hitting a virtual keypad with your tongue.

Holy ***** that idea is dumb on multiple levels.

On the other hand, people do like gadgets... he's got $52K+ in pledges already.
