Longtime lurker, first time poster.

I'm interested in using my CX bike for gravel and road rides and right now I only have a tubular wheelset. I'd like a clincher set for easy tire swaps and flat repair. I'm considering this rear (http://www.modernbike.com/itemgroup.asp?igpk=2126205505&TID=367&gclid=CL_WiYuwrLcCFck-MgodE1wAMA) and this front (http://www.modernbike.com/itemgroup.asp?IGPK=2126203162) wheel, but have a few questions hopefully someone here can help with.

1) My CX bike has 135mm spacing as does this HED rear hub. But, in the future if I wanted to use this on a road bike, are these hubs easily re-spaced to 130mm? I have no experience with HED hubs and little experience with sealed bearing hubs in general.

2) If I wanted to replace the Shimano/SRAM compatible freehub with a Campy compatible one, is that possible? I see that HED makes replacement freehub bodies (http://www.cyclocross.com/product/hed-cassette-freehub-body?v=shim000&utm_campaign=products&utm_source=google&utm_medium=base&adl=1&gclid=CM_7nfmxrLcCFcFDMgodTlMAYQ) in both flavors, but I'm unsure if there's something different or special about their Sonic series hubs as compared to these Novembres.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

HED is very responsive. If you don't get an answer here, give them a call/email

You would need new end caps. The axle in those hubs is threaded on the ends to accept the end caps. The caps will determine the final spacing. Contact HED about getting different end caps. However, you may need to re-dish the wheel if you step down to 130mm from 135mm. HED will tell you all you need to know. Send them an email or call them. Great folks there and very willing to help.

I exchanged a few emails with a nice gent at HED. The short of it is that QBP incorrectly lists this Handspun Peloton 3.1 rear wheel as 135mm, but all HED rear hubs are 130mm and I was informed they cannot be re-spaced.

The freehubs can, however, be switched from Shimano/SRAM to Campagnolo and vice-versa.

I've used plenty of 130mm hubs in older steel frames with 126mm spacing, but never the other way around. This isn't a disc frame so is there a compelling reason not to coldset the frame to 130mm for a better selection of wheelsets? I'm a pretty good wrench, but have no experience doing exactly this.
