Thinking of a used set of these wheels. What's your experience with them?
Thx

which model r sys you trying to pick up.hopefully cheap.buyer beware and all that
i have a later pair, with white hubs, that came on used canyon team bike.the wheels were used in a magazine test.(no not velonews) i have been happy with them although i found a cracked front spoke and replaced it after i put about 4k miles on them.
pretty nice wheels, seemed very nice descending and climbing in Colorado during the summer.not aero in the least but a fun set of wheels.
hope that helps.

Not sure that I would ever touch a set of these given the issues that have popped up in the past.

More than likely they would be fine, but why roll the dice when there are plenty of other options available ? Plus, what's the upside to buying them?

Rode a set of 2010 R-Sys at Gent and Roubaix this year, no problems.

Friend of mine has had a pair for over a year now with zero issues.

They fixed the problems a while back, but with that said I wouldn't buy a used pair

I have a set of 2012 R sys clinchers and have around 1,000 miles on them. Strong, solid and no problems. Tires have held up well. No wear to the exalith braking surface. Only down side is they do squeal on braking, better than when new but not totally squeal free. I weigh around 220 lbs and paired them with a Pinarello Paris CF bike riding the flat roads of TX HTH.

I've put over 20,000 miles on mine during the past four years and other than having to replace two front spokes last week, the wheels have been trouble-free. Was able to obtain replacement spokes from Mavic (Mass.) in two days.

While not r-sys I have a set of slr ksriums, same rear wheel but metal spokes on the front. I broke two rear metal spokes the first year. Not really happy but not really mad. Spokes are only available from mavic but come in a ten pack. To be honest I would look elsewhere but they are pretty stiff
