On my commute home last night Ivrsn up on a couple of guys from a local race club.
I'm on my Bedford (50-34 X 11-26), in kit, carrying a backpack.
As I catch them (they were going pretty slow) I say "On your wheel" as we are approaching an intersection and I wasn't going to pass them until I knew where they were going. The rear guy waves an acknowledgement and says "We're turning left up here", except they don't. They head up the road in the same direction I'm going and the speed ramps up. I sit in, watch the first guy rotate off and behind me, eventually followed by the second guy, I do my turn and then rotate off just as we reach the next town.
2 miles at 26+ and I think they were wondering who the old guy with the backpack on the steel bike was.
