I took my Lemond Alpe d'Huez out to clean yesterday and noticed some corrostion in the carbon on the underside of my top tube. I assume this is due to the interface of whatever metal is used to hold the cable. Is this an issue I should be worried about? Is there anything I can do to prevent / stop it from spreading?

I would think it's more of a problem for the aluminum rather than the carbon. Is that somewhere sweat drips? If so, I'd keep it clean and generously waxed. I do worry that the carbon may have corroded at the bonding surface...and that is a brake cable?

It is indeed a brake cable. The cable stop is almost at the junction of the top tube and seat tube.

I don't think carbon corrodes. Looks like your alum cable stop has corroded (as a result of sweat, most likely) and that your clear coat and paint has begun peeling for the same reason. Simply brush the corrosion of the cable stop (small wire brush or meticulously handled dremel with correct attachment) and then use clear nail polish to coat the cable stop. You could use the same clear nail polish on the paint after cleaning thoroughly otherwise use actual clear coat from auto store. Good luck,
Lou

That doesnt look like corrosion to me, what happened is that the clear coat and the resin kind'a bubbled it. Same situation happens in cars when the pint starts fading or cracking.

Sand and 2k polyurethane clear. Done.
