Anyone here tried the new Tufo Flexus CX tires yet...

Looks like a much better tire than the regular Elites, however not far from the cost of Dugasts...

I've had really good luck with the Tufos. Currently, I'm using the T30s which actually measure close to 32 mm. They are much more tuff than the Prestige and Elites. Also, they are lighter than advertised and lighter than all the other cx tires that have tubes. The one complaint I have is that they don't hold well on slipery off camber sections. However, they roll really well and clear sticky mud great. I've punctured them twice but both times I was able to fix em with the sealant. I have one other that I initially thought was destroyed, but I was able to repair it my squezing super glue inside the tear and a little on the outside. I then filled it with a half a vial of sealant. I believe the reason it worked is that the super glue gave the sealant something to adhere to. There's a lot to be said for a tire you can repair your self.

Regarding the new ones, I think they'll be a lot more plentiful compared to the Dugast and therefore available below retail in time. All the other Tufos can be had on the grey market at 20-30% off. They intrigue me because they appear to have just enough of a side knob to hold off camber, but aren't so aggresive they cake up and hold mud. I'll likely get a set for next year.

As you my know, Dugast has a new tire for 2006 called the Rhino

it appears utilize the Michelin Mud II tread (or maybe it's a copy). I own and use the Muds. My only complaint is in really sticky mud, they cake up and don't clear mud that well. When they are indeed caked, they get really heavy and transitioning to pavement can be treacherous. In silty mud, they can't be beat.

I haven't used them my self, but what I've heard has been very positive. They are described as very supple, roll well and hook up better than the original Tufo tread. The first ones I saw were too narrow for my taste but they are now offered in 34 (but are more like a 32). They can be had for a good price here http://www.bikemannetwork.com/biking/p/COMPTRCR/XLM-0720634

are you racing Saturday
