I think it would have been less polite had the driver of the car not been dwarfed by the cyclist. The angle of the camera suggests that he probably had 1/2 a foot on the driver.

Fairly typical, a big man when cocooned in 2 tons of car, less so when out of it.

How about a nice cup of tea while we talk this over.

The driver of the car is related to Michael Caine...

Personally if i'd been on the bike i'd have kicked the car and ridden off whistling "this is the self preservation society":butt:

This is more typical response. I tend to think the Brits are more willing to have a punch up than Americans.

I had a young guy threaten to beat me up while I was running on the Grand Union Canal two weeks ago because he thought I shouldn't be there. Unfortunately, my mouth was engaged before my brain and gave him a dose of raw American colloquial which only inflamed the situation. Good thing I am fast.

During the first ten seconds I was wandering why it was the passenger who stepped out to talked to the cyclist.

If you can touch the vehicle it's too close. It's that simple. Hope he left a good dent in it.

Last week I was left hooked (Americans, think right hook) and had to turn with and inside the vehicles radius to stay on the bike... at about 25kmh. Leaned over and gave the vehicle a good hard smack... who knew those plastic indicator light enclosures smashed so easily??? A first for me.

I was thinking the same thing. "damn, the driver is a coward.... ohhhhhhh."
