It's just cool... thought it is kinda sad they're made from new parts rather than worn parts from unloved bikes

I'm waiting for some hipsters to make a keychain* out of an old C-Record crank arm and have it hang out of the pocket of their skinny jeans.

(*for the key to their group house... "No car, man")

+ it looks to be rebuildable...unlike those crappy throw away SRAM keychains...;)

I'd buy it...yes, I am a loser/poser.

They fell down on the marketing though. It should be pictured with a Maserati key.

I wish I could do cool stuff with metal.

I wonder whether that is a legal use of the Campy logo. . . .

I have an old Record downtube shifter on my keyring. Every once in a while someone will recognize what it is and a conversation starts.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far away, I had a Campagnolo fork dropout that was drilled for a keychain and had a lip cutaway on one side to open beer bottles.

I cannot for the life of me remember where it is...it was cool, though. Can't even find any pictures of it on the web.

My thoughts exactly.
Plus, "Made from autentic Campagnolo parts.
-Each key chain is hand crafted from new parts that have never been used on a bike"
What parts, exactly? Looks like some flat stock, slightly bent. What does Campy make from flat stock?

Looks like 'repurposed' Campy toe clips to me. I wonder where they got them...

Looks like it used to be a toe clip... the upper part that holds the toe strap.

Same here. The good news is after a number of years, I have finally found my peanut butter wrench.

What a waste of a bunch of perfectly good toe-clips, if that is where they got them. And if so, the metal is way too thin to make a good key-fob.

Yes, for sure. If they were NOS pairs before being turned into key fobs, they were worth more than 2x the price. Nutty.

I still like this. It is one of the coolest unnecessary things I ever got. Like it lots. I have a house key, car key, and bike lock keys on it. Never opened a beer with it.

I think it is cool too but I don't carry keys so it would end up cluttering my pockets.

I have a screwdriver similar to this on my keyring. The only significant differences are that mine says "Stanley" and the top is more squared off than rounded. Other than that, they're identical, and it does indeed have thousands of uses.

Edit: From the Proto Tool web site: "Morris Pendleton sold Proto to Ingersoll Rand in the early 1960's, and in 1984, The Stanley Works purchased Proto to form Stanley-Proto Industrial Tools."

So my key-tool is directly related to the one in the image below.
