Simple question - are 2012 10 speed levers (Centaur/Veloce) compatible with older ten speed rear derailleurs (Chorus/Record)? This is a double chainring setup - no triple concerns.

Thanks,
Tom

Yes.

Another yes.

I have 2010 Centaur 10 (new style) levers paired with older Centaur 9 front and rear derailleurs. Works great.

The 10spd shifter should also shift the post 2001 9spd RD as well.

If the RD isn't worn out, yep..and the contrary, including 11s, is also true. I just put a 11s Athena RD onto a 2004/5 or so Chorus 10s group and it worked famously.

Thanks to all. I figured as much, but one of the other shop guys disagreed, and I saw some wierd web postings claiming that in 2011 or 12, Campagnolo changed the 10-speed cable pull a little bit. Wasn't anything I'd heard before, so I figured I'd check with the experts...

Regards,
Tom
