Nice place.
And music by Magnetic Fields, you don't hear that with most riding videos.

Looks like a great ride, even with all the traffic and comparatively crappy roads/shoulder from what we've usually seen from your videos.

Thanks for posting.

thanks guys. yeah, Placette is a major artery into the Chartreuse so lots of traffic. After that it's easy to stay on the small roads.

but liking Chartreuse?! Actually the VEP is not too bad but still a bit too sweet for me. They make it pretty close to the ride, in Voiron. There is a museum at the distillery, complete with animatronic monks and a 3D movie. Now, chartreuse ice cream... a different story.

I like Chartreuse too. When I lived in SF my go-to bar was the 540 club which was (is?) the #1 seller of Chartreuse in the world.

That green is looking sweet. Nice ride. Been awhile since I rolled Martyrs, good hill riding. And hey, I even like the music enough this time. We'll ride when I get back. Cheers

Yellow Chartreuse isn't actually that bad. The green is like an herbal assault on your mouth.

That's amazing that a bar in SF sells the most Chartreuse. Mixed, or in some horrible concoction?

velotel: someone showed me a really nice col just next to 1000 martyrs: a real hidden gem. It's the las part of the video. It's been raining (hard) for the last two days though.

yellow/green… try the VEP (http://www.chartreuse.fr/chartreuse-verte-v.e.p;fiche;6;fr.html). It tastes a little less like it was poured out of a used gas can :)
