It works great, but be warned that some Shimano road RDs can handle it and some can't. My older 7700 RD definitely couldn't. Even the 7703 RD wouldn't work on a bike until I put smaller pulleys on it.

Depends on the bike too - i.e the drop from the rear wheel axle to the RD's mounting bolt hole.
