Anyone know anything of F. Moser frames?

I dented the top tube my frame yesterday and although I'm pretty confident that it can be repaired I want a contingency in place.

Anyway I saw on eBay a Moser Forma frame with dedacciai tubes but I know very little of them. What is the geo or does anyone have any links to catalogues?

Thanks and here is the mandatory dancing banana

Great bikes and deda tubes are as good as anything out there. Worry about the fit and the geometry before you worry about the quality and the tubes.

How were you thinking about having the tube fixed? Rolled out, cut and welded, etc...?

The US dist. for F Moser is Red Rose Imports aka Era ski and bike in Lancaster Pa. I know they use bilenky for repairs.

I believe the Forma was the low-end of the Moser line-up from the late 90's through the early 2000's. I have one that I use for training rides. It's very nice, but it's not in the same class as my fillet-brazed Leaders. Here's the geometry: http://www.repartocorse.com/moser-forma-closeout.htm

My father in law had a forma that now resides with a buddy of mine. Its a nice bike and rides well but it is very heavy.

Cheers that's a very helpful link. The geometry is not disimilar to my Fuso. So looks like is could be a good back up.

The size frames that I buy are seldom light! Good to know that it handles well.

I'm going to try and chat with a builder this week. Having put another 50 miles on the frame yesterday I didn't feel it was that bad. I'm hoping it will be an easy repair without having to take the tube off - although that might be optimistic.

The frame is question:

and this is option II:

Two decent frames in freakishly large sizes on eBay at the same time - oh my.
