Deleting/canceling you tube account

anyone done this? i have had a youtube account for five years or so years now and i want to cancel my account. youtube has gotten more and more intrusive about personal information. anyway be that as it may i just want to cancel my account and forfeit my 20+ saved songs. it's just not worth the hassle anymore to have youtube imho.

back to original question. has anyone cancelled their account? i could not find out how to do this today on youtube. thanks in advance for any guidance.

Another option is to go into your profile and write over anything meaningful with gobble-di-goop. I did this with my facebook account some years ago.
