I am looking at renting a villa in Italy that would house ~10 people this fall. We are looking for a place that has walking access to the train system and to nice restaurants.

Looking for a recommendation on companies that provide rental properties. Or a website that provides good reviews of the rental companies. Thanks for any help.

try airbnb.com.
i've had good luck getting places to stay in the netherlands, belgium, and france through airbnb.

I had a very good experience working with Tuscany Now. I think forum member echelon_john's family has a villa in Tuscany that they rent. You might want to pm him for info/suggestions.

We have used VRBO all over Europe incl Italy. Have stayed in some really nice casas.

I had not seen Airbnb before so that was helpful. We have used VRBO in Paris and had good luck so they were on our list for sure.

Happy - I looked at Tuscany Now but I had seen some bad reviews on them on-line so it is good to hear that you had a good experience with them.

Thanks everyone

Someone on this forum has a beautiful villa in Tuscany. Do a search. Otherwise, RVBO, homesaway, and such are great. Also, there are ads in the back of the alumni magazines of many top schools, in the event that you know anyone who went to Harvard, Yale, etc.
