Internal or External for carbon aero rims?

I consider it secondary to the overall quality/design of the rim. For example, Zipp and Enve both make great, aerodynamic rims and one is internal and the other is external.

Agree with Ergott (and he knows a few things about wheels)
The only downside I see to internal nippes is if you need to true, you have to pull the tires off... not much of an issue with clinchers, with tubular, could be a pain...

Agree with ergott and bikerboy337. On some rims you have a choice. Corima rims, normally internal nipples, can be drilled for external. It is done at the factory by request for an additional charge.

So, for clincher and maintenance(truing) there it does not matter?
