Dropped it off last nov. worth the wait and money. If u have a frame you love but want a new look this is the only way to go!

I saw this frame in process and just before it shipped and I told JB I'm generally not a big fan of paint on carbon, (other than clear), but this one blew me away.

It's beautiful and even more so in person!

Fine job Mr. Bell !!

Joe does a great job. Patience is required, but its worth it....as evidenced by this beautiful frame.

I designed the paint scheme. somewhat inspired by my pearl white olmo that i raced in the mid eighties.

ilm building this with dura ace 9000. should i keep the ee silver brakes or go with the other amazing 9000 brakes?

I'm keeping the leather saddle.

Dave, one of these days I'll be in your que for a cross type bike. I purchased the brass cable guides from you for this build. they seem a little tight, any ideas?

thanks, bill

I would strongly consider keeping the ee brakes, it just feels right.

Has a tap been run through the threads to be sure they are clear of paint?

He's got an older CSi of mine that's getting tricked. I'm in no hurry whatsoever because I know, from experience, that when it is finally done, it will be "tits" ( as he likes to say). There's nothing quite as sweet as a JB paint job. He is simply the best, and it seems there's nothing you can come up with that he cannot do. Jeff N.

Yeah the saddle is perfect. I have a brown swallow on a white and light blue panel bike. May I be presumptuous and assume you will use brown leather tape?

I am lucky enough to have 2 bikes with Joe Bell paint jobs among my choices when I go for a ride. His paint jobs are worth the wait and the cost!

I have nice blue handlebra with red yellow white stitching. I also purchased the wooden end caps. Still debating the silver ee cranks!

I thought your DIY strip/gloss of the KGSN ottrott was awesome...this is a whole 'nother level.

Chapeau!

it came out GREAT!

I know, thanks. Honestly there is no way I could have come close to joes work with his decals and attention to detail. We are also paying for his patience. I wonder how many hours joe spent on this job?

the sacha-ish touch of connecting the panel color to the insides of both fork legs and SSs is masterful. the WC stripes on the panel too. and then finally pulling the base color to the bars. it just goes to show a properly executed aesthetic really puts a great ride over the top. I am sure you sweated the details...it shows. masterful!

expensive I am sure...but "quality is remembered long after price is forgotten"

Yes!!!

Without question. Like the ee brakes, they just feel right on this build. Maybe it's my romanticism with American manufacturing.

I know it's not all carbon, but I didn't know Joe Bell painted carbon. I know Keith Anderson won't paint it, at least not as of last summer.

No idea. I contacted him to get a quote on painting my Crumpton and he said he wasn't painting carbon anymore.
