Just got my first set of belgian booties (DeFeet slipstreams) and the materials mention cutting a slit for the cleats. Do you just cut a slit, or do you cut out an opening the shape of the cleat?
If a slit, lengthwise or across the bottom?
Yeah, seems like it's not a big deal but I'd like not to screw it up and have to buy another pair...
Thanks!

Cut slit. Lengthwise, but don't cut too long since you want the opening to be just big enough for the cleat.

if you look you can see that there is an approximate 3 inch lengthwise seam on the bottom center made to be cut open.i just use a razor blade to cut the length.hope that helps.

I pull them over a spare pair of shoes that do not have cleats mounted. Mark the top and bottom of cleat area with sharpie. Use scissors to cut lengthwise slit
I like the opening to be close. You can always cut it open more. The good bad news is they dmt last forever so you'll get another try in a few years
But you will fall down and hurt your knee...
Assos has a legal disclaimer about that on its website...
