Nice catch!

I was wondering what all of the black jacket or jerseys are that the pros are wearing in the crappy weather this year are too...

Most of the kit providers make their own version these days.

If they are, its catastrophically bad marketing to have the logos as covered up as they are, and to design it so that it closely resembles the Gabba and furthers the idea Castelli is on half the peloton when the weather turns sour.

According to their marketing blurbs on FB, half the peloton IS in a Gabba when things get nasty.

The truth is probably somewhere in the middle

Tom's helmet - sure doesn't look like a Specialized. What type of helmet is it? It's not a prevail.

What is Boonen wearing that's Assos - the booties or something else?

Booties.

Yep, Fugu Booties S7, sans logo - I detect the demonic presence of the Specialized rep with sharp scissors at hand.

I think it'd be the Vermarc rep.* And I don't see any logo removal:

I guess Vermarc marketing may be right on Boonen wearing their booties during winter training miles, but on raceday its Assos.;)

That's a new Specialized aero road helmet to compete with the Giro version that you can see on Gilbert.

A lot of manufacturers will offer non-logoed versions to pros so the riders don't clash with their team's sponsors (as has been done with bikes, saddles, shoes, etc.

Thanks! hahaha. I guess I need to come out from under my rock. Totally had no clue about it. I went to their site to see if I missed something but didn't see it there. Thanks for the insight.

Castelli's Gabba Jersey mostly.

Are these pure rain jackets? Or could you wear one as a regular cool weather jersey with the additional benefit of rain protection?

I use mine with a base layer and armwarmers down to about 40 or so. It's my go-to kit for 40-60 degree weather.

It's made fom gore windstopper x-lite fabric, which is wind and waterproof.
The fit is tight, and it's stretchy with a half sleeve, which makes it unique.

It seems ideally suited to high efforts where you generate a lot of heat,
and want protection from wind and rain.
