I'm looking to step up to a disc setup on my CX bike. I don't race cross, at least not seriously yet, and this would serve double duty as a touring bike, so I'd rather not have the raised bottom bracket that's on some euro cross bikes. Eyelets aren't that big of a concern, all my gear is rackless anyways.

I'm a carbon junkie, although I love my CAAD as well.

I looked up a few frames already, the CAAD has a low-ish BB, as does the Ibis Hakkalugi Disc. The Ibis is 1800 with an ENVE fork which seems like a decent deal.

Any good ones I'm overlooking?

I love my Super-X canti version

Test rode a disc version and liked it a lot

CAAD-X is supposed to be nice too

Lots of folks like Ridleys but I think they have the high BB

I really love my carbon Hakkalugi, although mine isn't the disc version... It just rides really nice and has some pretty good road manners as well...

I have a Felt F3X and it great. The disc brakes are awesome, if you are not going to race in muddy conditions, you cant beat them.

I thought racing / riding in slop was one of the biggest justifications people were using for putting discs on road and cross bikes?!?!

I have discs on two of my cross/gravel grinder/light touring bikes...both are steel though so I am no help to the OP! Some double cross and a DeSalvo.

Issues with pad wear and drag in heavy mud and slop

Read all the stuff from Nationals

I just had Desalvo build me a ti disc CX bike and love it. If I wasn't so set on ti, I would've definitely considered the Ibis disc bikes - they look stellar.

Fun bikes!

I demo'd a Foundry Auger (http://foundrycycles.com/bikes/auger) for a "gravel race" once and loved it. Would recommend. It's even got fender eyelets.

For a non-carbon option check out Gunnar. the Fast Lane or the Hyper-X.
Great quality steel frames, well priced and handmade here in the USA.

I went on ride Saturday with a fellow rider who has a brand new Ibis with disc, very nice setup. I think the look is better than my Felt, also seemed lighter? Ibis looks like a great option.
