View Full Version : Soma Everwear tires
Anyone tried them? Seems like a good idea for a training tire.

Pros: 700x26 size, all black, relatively tough (3 flats in a few thousand commuting miles), decent construction (I believe Panaracer or National Tire Co makes them)
Cons: hard ride even with reduced pressure, not confidence-inspiring in the wet (only rode it in back for this reason)
For ride quality assessment, I used this as a rear tire on a Raleigh racing frame made of Zona steel, and on a Soma 'cross frame made of 631 steel. I'm now using Panaracer Pasela TG (700x28) to commute on the Soma and I'm much happier in all respects.
bro,
