Ever wonder what would happen if you drove a 10-ton dump truck over a bridge with a 2-ton weight limit? Ask and ye shall receive ... that's my motto.

It all started out when a guy, let's call him Duke, decided he wanted to get a job as a truck driver. Well, it just so happens that Duke's buddy, we'll call him Buddy, worked for a company that had a dump truck. Nothin' like a little hands-on training, I always say. So one weekend, the two of 'em set out on a crash course in dump truck driving, but not before downing a few brewskis to warm things up. Oh, and did I mention that Duke has a reputation for doing stupid stunts?

Anyhow, the two of 'em are out crusin' the county, and Duke was doing fairly well when they came upon this bridge. At this point the facts become a little muddled. Perhaps Buddy gave some friendly advice like, "Duke, we should turn around here, this bridge has a 2-ton weight limit." To which Duke seems to have replied "Well that's O.K., because we ain't carryin' anything in the back."

Whether that's how the conversation went or not, one thing is clear. Duke made a poor decision. One that cost Buddy his job, and Duke ... well, he never even got in for an interview. Keep this little example in mind, folks, the next time you decide to push something past (or just plain violate) its safety limits.

a local group of sport bikers practice their tricks down my the st louis arch- there is an industrial area just to the south of the arch-

I often pass them on my bike- I will pop a wheelie for them from time to time

I always get the "thumbs up" from them when I do-

I once even turned around and sat on my handle bars and rode my bike backwards- cuz they were trying to ride backwards on their bikes at the time-
I think they are accepting me as one of their own- I have even been invited for drinks with them afterward

They are fun to watch- I look at it like they are just thinning the herd a bit-

when ya coming this way- Ill set up a ride for sure- I hope to have the new bike by the first week of December- but I said that about november too-
