We live in a country where the level of violence continues to become more obsurd. A 10 year old?

What we need is more babies with guns. (You know, so they can protect themselves.) Lie you ground laws and all that.

Concealed carry baby strollers, with special waterproof integral holster.
I can see it now, the "Tactical Stroller", from Ragnar's All American Patriot Gear.
Special Threat Level III Teddy Bear, this Teddy gives last ditch protection,
since Teddy is proof against 5.56 NATO rounds.

note: the forum needs a "bitterly ironic" emoticon.

Seem like they caught the suspects already. Hopefully they can recover the weapon to make a slam dunk case.

Judging by the thread title, I thought this thread would be about the sensationalization of news as media outlets claw over each other to get readership/viewership.

"SNOW? HOW MUCH SNOW? CLICK TO FIND OUT!"
"THIS ONE TIP COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE!"

Don't get me started on how CNN is just a roundtable discussion of old wives tales and rumors...

Yes I can get on board with this.

I think that the more people who have guns the safer we will all be.

How about Kevlar teddy bears, baby blankets, and diapers? This appears to be an emerging market.

In New York, I'm told it's common practice to carry a second wallet with a few bucks in it to pacify the thugs that rob you, and keep your real stuff intact. Maybe the rest of America should get with the program and acquiesce to the criminals.

The preceding statements were made in jest, folks. It's past time to get angry.

Alleged shooter is actually 17.

I hope they string him up.

The 17 year old is an adult in that jurisdiction, and they might have the death penalty there.

**** like this is exactly why I don't watch the news.

However, people like the OP feel they need to tell everyone else about it anyway.

Knowing stuff like that adds ZERO value to my life.

some lenses are very distorting. choose your lens carefully. Better still, see the world through your own eyes.

I do. It is arbitrary, capricious, racist, and doesn't seem to work -- the US is the only Western democracy with it, and we have by far the highest homicide rates.

I'd rather work to keep hand guns out of the hands of 17 year olds.

On what are you basing the assumption that things are getting worse?

Bad things have always happened, but it seems to me from
the rational objective measures, the world has never been safer,
and people are living longer. The question is, why are we afraid and unhappy?
