Looking for a setback (min 25mm) seatpost with a reliable 2-bolt clamp. I've tried a couple, and either the clamps slip (i.e., saddle angle changes), or the shaft's OD isn't consistent (mostly undersized). Need a length of 275-300mm, and prefer a matte black finish.

Anyone have direct experience with these (or recommend another):

Deda Zero100
FSA K-Force
Truvativ Noir T40

I've been using the FSA K-Force Light sb25.
I weigh 160, and subject my bikes to harder than usual riding, though I'm smooth on the bike.
Pretty darn light.
Holds the saddle where I want it, knock wood (###) it does what a seatpost is supposed to do. Carbon paste where it goes in the frame...

That's about all I've got to say 'bout that.

I've been using a FSA K-Force SB32 for about 2 years now with absolutely no issues. In fact, I love it and it looks great with my bike.

Deda Zero 100 is awesome. Very adjustable. Loved that seatpost.

I've got a Zipp Service Course on my cross bike. It went on after cross season so I don't know if it'll hold up to my fat arse landing on it.

Took off an Easton EA?70? that DID hold up to my fat arse landing on it all cross season.

I used the older version of the Truvativ post. Actually it was a Stylo, not a Noir, but the clamp functioned the same. It was great. My favorite setback post ever.

I use a 3T Dorico Team, although it's at your minimum setback requirement (25mm).

Another vote for the K-Force. I bought the SB 32 for the setback, and have been very pleased with the clamping system.

If you want a PMP carbon post 27.2, 350mm in totally great shape I have one for sale somewhere in the classified here.

K-Force or the Zipp Service Course

I prefer the Service course these days as they are very sturdy and have not moved on either of my cross bikes

Dunno if anybody mentioned this but if you use carbon paste the clamps work way better. You should try it, in general the only that kind'a wont slip is the one that has a bolt in the front and one in the back, once set it will stay there.

Another FSA Kforce fan. Have used the sb25 and 32. 0 drama

What's the max insertion limit on the FSA K-Force? In other words, what is the min amount of exposed post required?

Never heard of a minimum amount of exposed post. Am I missing something?
Seems like a properly sized frame would eliminate any concern.

I think (hope) he's got it backwards.

People are generally concerned about minimum insertion into the seat tube / maximum extension out.

Minimum extension is either right down to the clamp at the top of the post, to where there is a bend, or until you hit a bottle boss/bolt.

If you are worried about that dimension, you probably have other fit issues.

I have/need approximately 125mm of exposed post. That's from the top of my frame's collar to the center of the rails.

My 2 bolt WCS Ritchy aluminum seat posts holds my seats firmly in place. Weighs about the same as their expensive CF ones. 20-25 set back. (can't remember which) With Ritchey WCS aluminum bars, stems, seat posts, etc, never saw the need to go CF.

In the modern age of fully and semi-sloping top tubes, getting a post with enough length is not a problem. 125mm is on high. You ride in the way of the Pro?

My point was that, if there's a "no clamp" zone, I need to avoid posts where that zone falls into the above measurement.

I'll take a look and get back in the am with pics if possible
