the cobalt 3 in particular. much nicer than expected, and very light! i had an issue with a thomson post that i needed to resolve and this seatpost solved my problem. very nice fit and finish, i'm very happy with this post overall.

Ooh, that's good looking. Infinitely adjustable? Wedge system or tension holding the adjustment?

What was the issue with the Thomson? Just curious.

There are tons of these things on blowout at theclymb.com ranging from $30 to $55 right now. All different colors/sizes. See them there all the time, and always wondered about the quality.

Angry, any reasons you went with the Cane Creek post over some others?

the problem i had was that i wanted to mount a caridice "bagman" on my saddle rails, and the two-bolt thomson style post takes up a ton of fore-aft real estate, making mounting the bagman clamp to horizontal seat rail difficult. this style clamp is much friendlier to that type of installation.

crank bros, not cane creek.

there were some grumblings re these posts on mtb forums when they first hit. slipping and creaking type things. hopefully they've worked thru all that. i'd be interested in some feedback after you've put some good miles on it cuz they're quite attractive.

Brain fart. Their Eggbeaters were a scarring experience.
