Fluorescent shoes seem to be all the rage in the running world. And truthfully when I'm out for a run, I spot them a mile away. It seems the color mixed with the movement really attracts the eye. I know fluorescent is not in vogue yet, but I did see that Sidi and Northwave are making them, and I'm thinking of picking some up...anybody else see any other brands?

the giro factor is available in highlighter yellow.

I commute with a lazer hi-viz helmet -- was almost thinking about the shoes to match :)

a brand from the 80s/90s.
http://www.diadora.com/en/detail/29/46/342/cycling/shoes/JETRACER.html

From what I can recall of their products during the late 90s and 2000s when neon was out of vogue, they aren't bringing back neons. They just never let neon go.

I'm a big guy, 47 is my size in most cycling shoes. I'd totally try out your Diadora if they fit, and the price was right;)

Fluorescent is not in vogue yet? I couldn't disagree more. It's already jumped the shark...

White's still the new black in the cycling world. Right now, at least in the Bay Area, it seems fluorescent is only for the safety conscious, and not part of the fashion of cycling.
I see it as both in the running world. Guys are wearing Nike neon to say "hey, look at me, I'm cool", and a side effect is "hey look at me, don;t run over me."
We're all followers one way or another. I'm guessing by the end of the summer, more people are going to be sporting neon like it's 1991 again.

Fluoro yellow has been trending in Europe. The Italians we work with seem surprised it is only just catching on here.

In the early 90's I had a pair of Sidi MTB shoes that were Blue, Purple, Pink, Neon Green and Yellow. I loved them and no one else had a pair (they were all wearing the blue Dominators). I must have gotten mine mail order from Europe and evidently they were uncommon enough that I can't even find a picture of a pair on Google images. I'm pretty sure I have a pic of me MTB racing in them, I'll see if I can dig it up.

Edit: Found a picture of them online! Bad-ass, I'd love to find a NOS set in 44
Btw-the red color on these is actually pink
